Cable Tray Measuring Guide
Understand the reference dimensions before planning a transition.
Tray width
Tray width is the crosswise span. This geometric guide uses the displayed base width; manufacturer dimensions may use different measuring faces.
Side height
Side height is measured vertically from the tray base. It affects the illustrated walls, not the ideal rise triangle.
Where to measure
Rise is the vertical difference between the ideal base reference planes. Available horizontal run includes the lead-in plus the sloped section’s horizontal reach; it excludes the far-end tail.
