Measurement setup

This route first makes a sideways offset with two horizontal folds, then a level change with two vertical folds. Enter positive sideways and level differences; this page fixes left/right and rise/drop. Middle is the straight section separating the two pairs. The exit remains parallel and upright. This staged four-fold method is TrayNeo geometry, not a verified replica of the reference process.

Geometry and cut equations

Side slope S = [offset + W × (1 − cos β)] / sin β; vertical slope V = rise / sin θ; stock = lead + S + middle + V + tail. Horizontal folds use W, vertical folds use H; each half-notch = span × tan(|turn| / 2).

For each closing joint, d = span × tan(|α| / 2), and the full V opening is 2d. Span is tray width for horizontal cuts and wall height for vertical cuts. Downward vertical joints open the side-wall slit instead; their formed edge gap is 2H × sin(|α| / 2).

Every segment must contain its adjacent closing-notch setbacks plus a 10 mm margin. Impossible or overlapping layouts are rejected.

Default numerical example

W = 200 mm · H = 50 mm · Straight stock length = 1819.24 mm. Stock station: 350.00 mm / 857.11 mm / 1257.11 mm / 1469.24 mm. θ: -45.00° / 45.00° / 45.00° / -45.00°.

Inspect all four stages

  1. Inspect the uncut straight channel.
  2. Mark every fold axis and its side-wall or base cut. Green lines show retained fold connections.
  3. Remove amber closing wedges. Opening joints are side-wall slits. Keep the indicated fold connections.
  4. Fold about every retained axis. Purple covers identify opening regions; they do not specify hardware.

Scope and method identity

This is a separately implemented TrayNeo method for the numbered entry. Exact correspondence with the reference product remains under review.
