Measurement setup
The obstacle extends downward from the incoming base level. Enter its vertical extent and length along the route. Clearance applies before, after and vertically around the obstacle. The base drops by obstacle height + clearance + tray side height, keeping the wall tops below the beam. The plateau includes the obstacle length plus clearance and one half-notch setback at each end. Lead and tail lie outside the four-fold bypass.
Geometry and cut equations
D = obstacle height + clearance (+ side height below a beam); S = D / sin(θ); plateau = obstacle length + 2 × (clearance + H × tan(θ / 2)); stock = lead + 2S + plateau + tail.
For each closing joint, d = span × tan(|α| / 2), and the full V opening is 2d. Span is tray width for horizontal cuts and wall height for vertical cuts. Downward vertical joints open the side-wall slit instead; their formed edge gap is 2H × sin(|α| / 2).
Every segment must contain its adjacent closing-notch setbacks plus a 10 mm margin. Impossible or overlapping layouts are rejected.
Default numerical example
W = 200 mm · H = 50 mm · Straight stock length = 1948.53 mm. Stock station: 350.00 mm / 703.55 mm / 1244.97 mm / 1598.53 mm. θ: -45.00° / 45.00° / 45.00° / -45.00°.
Inspect all four stages
- Inspect the uncut straight channel.
- Mark every fold axis and its side-wall or base cut. Green lines show retained fold connections.
- Remove amber closing wedges. Opening joints are side-wall slits. Keep the indicated fold connections.
- Fold about every retained axis. Purple covers identify opening regions; they do not specify hardware.
Scope and method identity
This is a separately implemented TrayNeo method for the numbered entry. Exact correspondence with the reference product remains under review.
Ideal zero-radius geometry. Cut envelopes, retained folds and opening covers are shown explicitly; kerf, rolled lips, thickness allowances, cable clearance, springback and connection hardware are not specified.
