Measurement setup

The entered inner diagonal is the straight length between theoretical sharp intersections on that reference edge. It is not a bend radius or a chord across the whole 90° turn. Axis spacing P is derived using the tray width W and both half-angle setbacks. All marking stations are then measured on straight stock.

Geometry and cut equations

P = D + 2 × span × tan(22.5°).

For each closing joint, d = span × tan(|α| / 2), and the full V opening is 2d. Span is tray width for horizontal cuts and wall height for vertical cuts. Downward vertical joints open the side-wall slit instead; their formed edge gap is 2H × sin(|α| / 2).

Every segment must contain its adjacent closing-notch setbacks plus a 10 mm margin. Impossible or overlapping layouts are rejected.

Default numerical example

W = 200 mm · H = 50 mm · Straight stock length = 1215.69 mm. Stock station: 350.00 mm / 865.69 mm. θ: 45.00° / 45.00°.

Inspect all four stages

  1. Inspect the uncut straight channel.
  2. Mark every fold axis and its side-wall or base cut. Green lines show retained fold connections.
  3. Remove amber closing wedges. Opening joints are side-wall slits. Keep the indicated fold connections.
  4. Fold about every retained axis. Purple covers identify opening regions; they do not specify hardware.

Scope and method identity

This is a separately implemented TrayNeo method for the numbered entry. Exact correspondence with the reference product remains under review.
